A PolyX Project
Overview
The Twin Cities Road PPC placement was completed as part of Sacramento County’s AC Overlay 2025 Phase B program (Contract 4649), a countywide effort focused on preserving and extending the service life of high-use roadways. Located in Galt, California, the project included the strategic placement of CEX-320 Polyester Polymer Concrete at three designated bridges along Twin Cities Road.
PolyX partnered closely with the project team to support the successful application of the PPC system, selected for its ability to deliver exceptional durability and rapid strength gain. These characteristics made CEX-320 well suited for roadway preservation within an active traffic corridor.
Surface preparation and placement were sequenced to align with the broader AC overlay operations, allowing the PPC work to integrate seamlessly into the overall construction schedule. Once placed, the CEX-320 system achieved rapid set times, enabling efficient progression of paving activities and minimizing impacts to the traveling public.
The Twin Cities Road project reflects PolyX’s continued role in supporting agencies and contractors with reliable, repeatable overlay solutions that balance durability, constructability, and cost-effective infrastructure preservation.
